What is a certified translation?

The expert translator from the Judicial Council attests that a translation is a complete and accurate reflection of the source text by means of a translation certificate.

The translation certificate contains an affidavit, signature and seal of a translator accredited by the Judicial Council, in many cases it also has a barcode or QR so that the translation can be verified online.

Many Certified Translations are issued via email using electronic signatures. “

How are certified translations quoted?

Certified translations are quoted by the number of pages as it is a parameter that is easily and almost always obtained immediately when analyzing the project.

In addition to translation work, certification of a translation costs $25 per document, and if you require the originals (physical copies with ink signature and seals) there is a shipping and handling cost which varies according to country of destination. For example; you require a 6-page certified translation: the translation cost per page is $30, so $30X6 equals $180 (translation cost) and for the certification an additional $25, but you also require your document to be mailed to the United States (about $50). The total cost of translation plus shipping and handling is $255.

Translators Ecuador provides free of charge certified translations to your email, however, you should consult with the translation recipient to see if they accept digitally signed translations or if they require ink signatures and seals.
